For this week's blog, I am elated to announce our 2020 AWAKEN Scholarship Recipients! I can't wait for you to see how incredible these women are...
First, let me tell you how thankful I am for your contributions.
Dear ones, this wouldn't happen without your help. That you'd be willing to support two other women in an experience that will change their lives makes me teary. Thank you. Your contributions mean, and do so much.
And now...on to the recipients...
Recipient #1 -- Jyoti Nicoll --
Jyoti was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 38. As a
healthy mom, business woman and yoga teacher, this came as a massive shock to she and her young family.
Over the past 2 years, Jyoti has been managing aggressive cancer treatments, as well as pursuing more natural ways to heal herself. Jyoti has an incredible amount of wisdom around health and healing, from very raw and personal experience.
Her hope is that this retreat offers further depth of healing in her path to her new, healthy self.
Jyoti, we know it will, and we can't wait to have you along!
Recipient #2 -- Melissa Schreiner --
Melissa is a recent Entomology Masters graduate. She has been so dedicated and focused on her studies and managing the laboratory on campus, that she's neglected personal self-care. She yearns to further understand, and take care of herself before she launches into her new career.
The committee was excited about Melissa's application because we believe that having this kind of exposure to personal growth at a young age, and right before she begins her career, will set her up for an even more successful and balanced life.
Melissa, we can't wait to see how you benefit!
