Benefits of Juice Fasting


Not only is fasting a good way to give your digestive system a break while still getting the nutrients you need through juices and smoothies, but fasting also allows you the chance to reframe your relationship with food. It allows you the chance to turn the lense inward to check-in on if what you're putting in your body is honoring the way you want to live and the way you want to feel.

We are doing a one-day optional juice cleanse on our Costa Rica yoga retreat as a way to evaluate our relationship to food but also to settle into what food means to each of us personally. With so many abundant fruits and veggies in Costa Rica, I can't think of a better place than on retreat to do a one-day juice cleanse to achieve a higher understanding of a key component of our lives: nourishment.
